Ida “Elsie” Steward Cummings Page

Elsie and her husband Roy lived all of their married life in the small community of Roscoe, Illinois.  Their home was a charming place…. the house sitting on the crest of a hill which sloped down to the Kinnikinnick Creek winding under the highway bridge to the Rock River.  It was a popular place for the younger generation.  The hill was dandy for sleds in the winter if they didn’t care to skate on the frozen creek.  In the summer, swimming was very popular.

She was a gracious, happy, loving person.  She was an excellent cook, and her homemade dinner rolls were something to be remembered!  She did some pastel picture painting and was a good seamstress.  She was also active in her church and community.
